Product description

In order to be able to arrange lighting masts even in narrow track lanes, and thus be able to provide sufficient lighting, the flat grid tilting pendulum mast system BBL was developed in close cooperation with DB Netz AG.

DB Netz AG and the Railway Accident Insurance Fund (EUK) have in recent years updated a large number of regulations regarding occupational safety and health, in particular with regard to climbing poles. This also affects the requirements for lighting masts. In the meantime, a ban on the purchase of conventional, rigid lighting masts has been issued.

Nevertheless, in order to be able to carry out the maintenance of the track field lighting with reasonable effort, thus without additional equipment such as access platforms etc., the idea was born to fold down the lamp to the maintenance engineer. This is made possible by the flat grid tilting pendulum mast system BBL. The mast can be tilted by a single person.

In order to be able to arrange lighting masts in the often very narrow track lanes (track spacing of at least 4500 mm), the flat lattice tilting pendulum mast is designed such that it is no wider than 100 mm in the area of the clearance gauge. On gusset plates on the base plate of the mast was omitted constructively whereby an additional trip protection was created.

The flat grid tilt mast has an integrated, closed receptacle for external LED control gear as an option and is compatible with all luminaires approved by DB Netz AG.

The mast is the first flat grid tilting mast to have a general approval from DB Netz AG.
