Besides elastomeric structural bearings for static applications (reinforced and non-reinforced elastomeric bearings, sliding bearings, elastomeric bearings for thermal separation and special products) and elastomeric bearings for vibration isolation, the product portfolio also includes products for track technology (track bed and sub-ballast mats, rail pads and base plate pads,, isingle bearings for MSS and special products) and for the environment (environmental and noise protection).
Elastic components protect track bed structure
Modern rail transport – especially when it passes through sensitive urban inner-city areas – requires measures to be taken against excessive noise and vibration emissions. In order to counteract these influences and to ensure sufficient and long-lasting protection, our products have been successfully used and further developed for years.
Calenberg synthetic and natural rubber products deliver enhanced elasticity bed structures and protect the overall track bed system thanks to their material characteristics. This means a significant cost reduction for servicing and maintenance for our customers.
Sub-ballast mats are available in various designs and rigidities for use at all train speeds and with axle loads up to 250 kN.
The wear-free protective layer in USM G 1000 mats resist mechanical loads such as those from ballast or light construction machinery passing over without the granulate layer (isolating layer) being damaged.
Conical stud mats are used to meet project-specific requirements – from ballast protection where ballast bed thickness is reduced through to efficient isolation of structure-borne sound and vibrations in mass-spring systems.
Using elastic rail pads and base plate pads in special rail fastening systems exploits the load-transferring effect of rails. Acting forces are distributed across several support points of the applied wheel load, so that stress is greatly reduced on the directly affected rail support point.
Noise reduction with Cisilent® Type E for effective sound insulation
The patented flexible noise barrier CISILENT® achieves a sound reduction index of Rw = 21 dB and ensures improved airborne sound insulation. Its special design concept, low transport weight and easy installation mean it can also be used in mobile structures. This solution can be used for roadworks, temporary events, machine enclosures, soundproof booths, room partitions or demolition works, including blasting.
OIL-EX absorption mat for effective environmental protection
OIL-EX consists of elastomeric materials, an absorption layer of bound pelleted rubber and a high proportion of recycled material. An impermeable barrier layer on the mat lower surface prevents contamination in the subsoil. Areas of use include road and railway vehicle maintenance and parking areas, storage and intermediate storage rooms for machinery, protection of hydraulic machines, storage and transport safety system for barrels and containers filled with hydrocarbons, decanting systems or load platforms.
