Product description

The Koblenz gondola system was originally designed as a temporary transport solution for visitors to the Federal Horticultural Show (BUGA) in 2011. But, built a year in advance, the system began operation in the summer of 2010, offering a birds eye view for visitors travelling from the BUGA grounds, across the Rhine to the Ehrenbreitstein fortress.
3S (tricable detachable gondolas) technologies utilize three cables; two for support (track ropes) and one for propulsion (haul rope). They appeal strongly to the urban market because they are the fastest, highest capacity and most stable gondola yet.
The Koblenz system currently has 18 cabins in operation, each with a capacity of 35 passengers. This is the first ever instance of a gondola that can transport up to 7.600 passengers per hour (per direction)
